Cheltenham, 22 July 2026 — Holiday rental management franchise Pass the Keys has launched in Gloucester, Cheltenham and the Forest of Dean, expanding its professional short-term rental management services into another popular holiday region.

The new operation is led by Matthew Holden, a Cheltenham local with extensive experience in compliance and risk management. Prior to launching his Pass the Keys franchise, Matthew spent over a decade working in the oil and gas sector in the Middle East. Matthew brings a strong foundation in operational excellence and business strategy to his new venture, complemented by his personal experience as a property landlord in the UK.

The new Pass the Keys franchise offers a comprehensive management solution for property owners across a diverse geographic territory. The region offers a unique blend of demand: Cheltenham provides a consistent, year-round cycle of events and tourism; Gloucester serves as a key hub for business-related travel; and the Forest of Dean offers an idyllic seasonal destination for holidaymakers seeking leisure and nature.

Pass the Keys’ franchise model combines local ownership with centralised technology, marketing, and compliance support, enabling partners to scale sustainably and offer best-in-class guest experiences.

Matthew Holden, Owner of Pass the Keys Gloucester, Cheltenham & the Forest of Dean, said:
“I’m excited to build a portfolio of high-quality properties and develop strong, lasting relationships with hosts across the region. Property owners in Gloucestershire deserve a professional, reliable service that protects their assets while delivering consistent results. The Pass the Keys model provides the robust technology and support to achieve that, while still allowing me to offer a local, hands-on approach that meets the specific needs of each host.”

Alexander Lyakhotskiy, CEO and Founder of Pass the Keys, said:
“Expanding into Gloucester, Cheltenham and the Forest of Dean reflects our focus on markets with year-round demand and significant growth potential. Matthew brings a sharp operational background and a clear understanding of business management, which are essential for building a high-quality portfolio. This launch reinforces our commitment to professionalising the UK’s short-term rental sector.”
