📍 IHG Hotels & Resorts, in collaboration with ALVA Capital, is launching its first Candlewood Suites in Reykjavik, Iceland, marking IHG's debut in the country. Over the next 3-5 years, up to 500 rooms will be developed across Iceland, including Holiday Inn Express and Garner hotels. The Reykjavik hotel, located in Hlíðar, will offer 53 units with kitchens, gyms, and a 24-hour market. IHG operates over 410 hotels globally, with 192 more planned. ALVA Capital, founded in 2012, focuses on real estate.

🏨 Drury Hotels is constructing the Drury Plaza Hotel Mobile in Mobile, Alabama, on the site of a former Drury Inn & Suites. This will be Alabama's fifth Drury hotel. The hotel will feature 186 rooms, over 1,900 sq. ft. of meeting space, free hot breakfast, complimentary evening snacks, free Wi-Fi, and amenities like a 24-hour business center, outdoor pool, and spa. Flexible meeting space accommodates up to 270 attendees.

📍 Belfast, February 2026: The Malone Hotel, celebrating 35 years, completes an 18-month refurbishment. Located off Lisburn and Malone roads, this four-star hotel will reopen with 103 redesigned bedrooms, an expanded restaurant, and a 240-guest ballroom. It offers 70 off-street parking spaces. The Malone has partnered with UK-based Focus Hotels for management. Director Gareth Macklin highlights the transformation as the hotel's most exciting chapter, enhancing its heritage and service.

🏨 TFE Hotels will debut in the UK on 10 November 2025 with The Hobson Cambridge by Adina, a 56-room apartment-style hotel. Located on St Andrew’s Street, Cambridge, it resides in the Grade II listed Hobson House, a historical site previously a stable, police, and fire station. The hotel combines period architecture with modern serviced apartments, featuring kitchenettes, meeting facilities, and a new restaurant, Oz and Isle. Cambridge was chosen for its heritage and rapid growth.

🏨 Bi Design House, founded by Sheila Man, is a five-bedroom guesthouse located in Canggu, Bali. Originally designed by Sylvia Fairman, the house transformed into a bespoke hotel after five years. The renovation, featuring Indonesian art and design, took two years. Collaborating with Canadian designer Annie Gauvreau, the design reflects local craftsmanship. The property includes themed rooms, a central courtyard, and views over rice paddies, emphasizing natural airflow and sustainability.

🍴 Chicago, early September: Adalina Prime, a 10,500 square-foot steakhouse, opens in Fulton Market, created by chef Soo Ahn and his team. Featuring global influences, the menu includes Illinois-raised wagyu and dishes like tteokbokki mac & cheese. The restaurant, designed by Dunne Kozlowski, features an open kitchen and two-story wine cellar. Executive chef Nemanja Milunović and chef de cuisine Andy Lownes join Ahn. The bar, managed by Damian Keehn, serves until 1 a.m. on weekends.

🏨 Sonesta International Hotels Corporation launched Americas Best Value Studios by Sonesta, an extended-stay brand extension of Americas Best Value Inn, in Newton, Massachusetts. The brand targets value-driven, long-term accommodations with amenities like kitchenettes and bi-weekly housekeeping. Pet-friendly facilities and morning coffee service are standard. The new brand aims to meet increasing demand in the extended stay segment, focusing on secondary and tertiary markets.

🏨 Indianapolis, October 2025: The Signia by Hilton Indianapolis hotel, set to be the city's tallest, is 62% complete and on track to open by fall 2026. Located in downtown Indianapolis, it features 800 rooms and nearly 100,000 square feet of meeting space, including Indiana's largest 50,000-square-foot ballroom. The $625 million project, funded by hotel revenue bonds, involves partners like AECOM Hunt and Ratio Design. The hotel will directly connect to the Indiana Convention Center and Lucas Oil Stadium.

🏨 DKN Hotels will manage and provide pre-opening advisory for a new TownePlace Suites by Marriott in Wildomar, California, scheduled to open in 2027. The 102-suite hotel, developed by American Redevelopment Solutions, LLC, will be part of Wildomar's Baxter Village Project, featuring a Kaiser Permanente medical office, 204 apartments, and 67 single-family homes. This will be Wildomar's first hotel, offering access to Temecula Valley Wine Country.
