Zetter Group to open Bloomsbury site in early 2026

🏨 The Zetter Group will open The Zetter Bloomsbury, a 68-bedroom hotel, in early 2026 on Montague Street, London, opposite the British Museum. The hotel spans six Georgian buildings and features diverse accommodations, a restaurant, bar, gym, and terrace. Interior designs by James Thurstan Waterworth reflect local culture. Public areas include The Parlour bar and The Orangery dining room. The expansion follows successes in Marylebone and Clerkenwell, enhancing the group's London presence.

PUBLIC West Hollywood to open early next year

🏨 Ian Schrager will open the second PUBLIC hotel in spring 2026 on Sunset Strip, West Hollywood, Los Angeles. The hotel will feature 137 rooms in the former Standard hotel, designed by British architect John Pawson. Amenities include three dining venues, a pool, and a rooftop terrace with 360-degree views of Los Angeles. The first PUBLIC hotel opened in 2017 in the Lower East Side of New York City.

Choice Hotels to almost double portfolio in France

🏨 Choice Hotels International will open 50 new Quality Suites hotels, doubling its French portfolio to 107 properties. This expansion, part of a 20-year agreement signed in April 2024 with Zenitude Groupe, adds over 4,800 rooms in France, focusing 22% of new sites in major cities. The deal continues to strengthen Choice Hotels' presence in the EMEA region, offering flexible accommodation and senior living options. All properties will join the Choice Privileges loyalty programme.

Lamington Group secures £41.75m loan for net zero hotel in York

The 116-room Room2 York, opening spring 2027, will feature reclaimed materials, solar panels, and CO₂-controlled ventilation. Lamington aims for 5,000 UK rooms by 2030, focusing on sustainable design. As a B Corporation, it plans further Room2 sites in Cambridge, Edinburgh, Manchester, and Shepherd's Bush.

Hotel Maison Maastricht Centrum joins Handwritten Collection

Ennismore to open The Hoxton hotel in Madrid in 2026
