The Ritz-Carlton Residences Muskoka viewings start this summer

🏠 Canada, 2025: Density Group Limited has announced the launch of The Ritz-Carlton Residences in Muskoka, featuring 32 waterfront homes on a private island. Homes range from four to eight bedrooms, with private showings starting this summer. Designed by Studio Caban and Norm Architects, amenities include a spa, sports facilities, and a homeowner club accessible by chauffeured boat. Onsite production includes fresh herbs, eggs, and honey. Sarah Khalifa of Marriott International supports the project.

Nobu Hospitality expands its presence to Kraków

The project includes 100 guest rooms, 80 Nobu Residences, and Nobu’s first cultural district. This "city within a city" will feature a theatre, cinema, recording studio, coworking space, art gallery, rooftop pool, fitness center, and a Nobu restaurant. Following Nobu Hotel Warsaw’s 2020 debut, this marks Nobu’s second Polish venture, aligning with their European expansion strategy.

IHG opens 80th avid hotel

🏨 IHG’s avid hotels opened its 80th property, a 71-room hotel in Coralville, Iowa, near the University of Iowa. Owned by Westcor JD Royal Hospitality, it features a sound-reducing design and a revamped breakfast that includes scrambled eggs and premium coffee. The chain has 131 hotels in the pipeline, making it IHG's fastest-growing new-build brand. Other recent openings include the 118-room hotel in Querétaro, Mexico, and an 80-room hotel in Harrisburg, Pennsylvania.

IHG Hotels & Resorts signs dual-branded hotel in London’s Waterloo

📍 Scheduled for the last quarter of 2028 in London, a new dual-branded IHG development will add 354 rooms to their portfolio. The voco London – Waterloo will feature 182 rooms, while Hotel Indigo & Suites London – Waterloo will offer 172 rooms, marking its European debut. Both will share amenities and are situated near cultural landmarks. The project aims for BREEAM Excellent certification, incorporating sustainable technologies. This expansion strengthens IHG’s UK presence, collaborating with Palm Holdings.

Scandic expands in Sweden with new alpine hotel in Sälen

🏖 Scandic Hotels and Lima Besparingsskog will lease a new hotel in Sälen with 120 rooms and 16 apartments. It will boast ski-in, ski-out access between Tandådalen and Hundfjället. The hotel features a wellness area, and a new ski lift will be added. It's part of Scandic's Nordic expansion, including new openings in Stockholm, Gothenburg, and Umeå by 2026. The eco-friendly hotel will be certified by Nordic Swan Ecolabel, promoting sustainable practices.

HUŎ to open second site in Belsize Village this summer

🍴 In July 2025, HUŎ will open in Belsize Village, London, expanding from their 2021 Chelsea debut. Restaurateurs Graham Rebak and Adam Wilkie bring Asian cuisine to NW3. Head Chef Yam Gurung's menu features Chinese and Southeast Asian dishes, with sharing plates like Thai Lobster Crackers and Szechuan Chilli Prawns. Designed by Jonathan Clark Architects, the space accommodates 110 guests across a main dining area, bar, private room, and terrace. The restaurant features Asian art and vibrant decor.
