Shiko Group – a wealth of choice for group travel itineraries

🏢 Shiko Group, launched in April 2024, boasts eight venues in Manchester and Leeds including Side Street, Courts Club, The Lawn Club, The Dome, The Stables, Foley’s, Fearns, and The Canary. Side Street accommodates 360 guests; Courts Club has a capacity of 450 and features a court; The Lawn Club seats 440 patrons; The Dome is a unique rooftop space; The Stables is ideal for various events; Foley’s offers specialty coffee; The Canary and Fearns both provide waterside views in Leeds, with Fearns able to host 500 people.

A New ‘Nonna’ Menu at Hilton Lake Como’s Streetfood Pop-Up

🌮 From 16 April to mid-October 2025, Hilton Lake Como will host 'Streetfood', featuring an Italian market in Taffeta garden. Executive Chef Stefano Ghielmetti introduces a 'Nonna menu' with traditional dishes. Guests can buy local produce, including olive oil, Terazza 241 gin, and Streetfood pasta. The market, offering live cooking stations, an Aperol Spritz cart, a Piaggio Ape Pizza cart, and a Gelato cart, is open 6pm-midnight, Friday-Tuesday, and daily in June-August. Rooms start at €350/night.

Blue Orchid to convert Atlas House into luxury hotel

🏦 UK's vacant Atlas House on King Street, Cheapside, London, first built in 1836, will be redeveloped into a luxury boutique hotel by Blue Orchid Hospitality. Owned by Integrity International Group and led by Tony Matharu, the Grade II-listed building will feature 104 guest rooms, a restaurant, cocktail bar, health club, spa, swimming pool, gym, and flexible public workspaces. Aiming for a BREEAM ‘Excellent’ rating and Biodiversity Net Gain, the redevelopment focuses on restoration to preserve the site's character. The hotel adds to Blue Orchid’s London portfolio, including Tower Suites and 55 Broadway.

Chef Tiffany Derry to open 2nd Radici Wood-Fried Grill

🍴 Chef Tiffany Derry and partner Tom Foley of T2D Concepts are set to open a new Radici Wood-Fired Grill location in Grand Prairie, Texas, on April 15. Radici, meaning "Roots" in Italian, will launch its second venue at EpicCentral, after the original establishment debuted in Farmers Branch, Texas, last May. Foley enriches the dining experience with his artwork, reflecting his mother's Italian origins from Balvano. T2D Concepts also operates Roots Chicken Shak, Roots Southern Table, and the 'Shef Tiffany spice and apparel line.

The Italian-themed restaurant, under T2D Concepts, first launched in Farmers Branch, Texas, in May of the previous year. The concept emphasizes Derry's take on Italian cuisine, designed to offer memorable dining experiences, with Foley contributing his mother-inspired Italian artwork for the restaurant's ambiance. T2D Concepts also runs Roots Chicken Shak, Roots Southern Table, and the 'Shef Tiffany spice and apparel line.

Goose + Berry and Liberty Announce New Restaurant

🍴 Goose + Berry to open "Seventy Five at Liberty" on April 8th, coinciding with Liberty's 150th anniversary. Located on Regent Street's second floor, the 1,800 sq ft restaurant offers 84 covers, serving brunch, lunch, afternoon tea, and supper, plus private hire. Head Chef Joe Holness, ex-Fera at Claridge’s and Da Terra, presents a sharing-style British menu with local, sustainable ingredients. The design by Thirdway features Liberty prints, with an ongoing Artist in Residence series, starting with Sir Quentin Saxby Blake. Open seven days, operating hours are 10am-8pm (Mon-Sat) and 12pm-6.45pm (Sun).

Indian chef Regi Mathew has opened Chatti, his first stateside restaurant, in New York City

🍳 Award-winning Chef Regi Mathew, with 30 years of experience and two restaurants in India, opened his first U.S. restaurant, Chatti, in New York City on Feb. 12, south of Times Square. Inspired by Kerala's toddy shops, Mathew researched for over three years, visiting 70 toddy shops and 265 homes in Kerala. Chatti seats 80 guests, plus 70 in a mezzanine party room, and features a 10-seat private dining area. The menu offers seafood, vegetarian and non-vegetarian curries, fermented palm wine-inspired cocktails, and desserts like spicy bird’s eye chile ice cream.

John Resnick and chef Eric Bost plan Lilo in Carlsbad, Calif.

🍴 Restaurateurs John Resnick and chef Eric Bost to open Lilo on April 17 in Carlsbad, Calif., a 22-seat restaurant featuring global coastal dishes, housed in a former boogie board factory. Lilo joins their other establishments: Campfire, Jeune et Jolie, Sister Spot, and Wildland. It offers a 12-course tasting menu starting at $265, created with chefs Dusan Todic and Madeline Biehl. The menu includes canapés and dry-aged dishes, curated by wine director Savannah Riedler and beverage director Andrew Cordero. Design by Bells + Whistles, Lilo is located at 2571 Roosevelt St., open Tuesday to Saturday from 5 p.m. to 11 p.m. PDT.

A New Sound in Soho: Under the Counter Opens 18th April

🎶 Under the Counter, a listening bar in Soho, launches Friday, 18th April with a soft launch featuring £5 cocktails on 18th & 19th April from 5-12pm. Executive Chef Kemal Demirasal and Bar Manager Joao Silva bring bold Turkish flavours and high-quality music, with a 30-cover bar and a menu of spice-themed cocktails and shareable small plates. The venue sports a Michell Gyrodec turntable, Klipsch speakers, and will host DJs like Tall Nico and myanalogjournal, operating Thursdays through Saturdays.
