🏨 HEI Hotels & Resorts adds The Westin Poinsett, Greenville to its portfolio, marking its first operation in South Carolina. The 200-room hotel, located on South Main Street in downtown Greenville, originally opened in 1925. It was renovated and reopened as a Westin in 2000, joining the Historic Hotels of America in 2002. The property features two ballrooms. This partnership with Highline Hospitality Partners is HEI’s second hotel management for the group.

🏨 In Newport, Rhode Island, The Vanderbilt, Auberge Collection, a 33-room resort, completes a significant renovation of the Vanderbilt Room. Led by SWOON and Herkworks Architecture, the project integrates historical elements and modern design, using jewel tones and reclaimed wood. The 1,280 square-foot room accommodates 50 for dinners, 100 for receptions, and 60 for weddings, supporting various events. The renovation pays homage to Alfred Gwynne Vanderbilt, blending Newport's colonial and Gilded Age influences.

📍 April 2026, Orlando, Florida: Performance Hospitality completed a multi-million-dollar renovation, transforming the Holiday Inn & Suites into the Courtyard by Marriott Across Universal Orlando. This upgrade includes 390 updated guestrooms, 134 suites, outdoor pools, and over 11,000 square feet of meeting space. The hotel features The Bistro & Bar and The Crate Grab-N-Go, alongside amenities like a fitness center and complimentary WiFi. Located near major attractions, it also offers a complimentary shuttle to Universal Orlando Resort.

🏨 Radisson Hotel Group has reached 100 hotels in Africa, following rapid growth with over 15 new hotels and 2,500 rooms added in the past year. Key expansions include the Democratic Republic of Congo, Zimbabwe, Nigeria, and Egypt. In Nigeria, 13 hotels are planned or operational, while South Africa targets cities like Cape Town. Major projects include a 110-room hotel in Kinshasa by 2026, a 147-key project in Harare by 2028, and 469 rooms in Egypt by 2029.

🏨 Leonardo Hotels acquired Hotel Saint in London's Aldgate, marking their 11th property in the city. The 272-room hotel will be rebranded as Leonardo Hotel London Aldgate, featuring free Wi-Fi, workspaces, and city-view rooms. Dining options include The Cardinal Bar and Kitchen and Jin Bo Law rooftop bar. The hotel offers a gym and five meeting rooms for up to 80 people. This acquisition supports Fattal Hotels' UK and Ireland expansion, comprising 60 properties with over 11,000 rooms.

🏨 Who? Queens Hotel and Spa Bournemouth. When? Reopened in 2025. Where? Located near Bournemouth’s Blue Flag beaches, Dorset. What? Completed a £2m refurbishment, including a new reception, refurbished guest rooms, upgraded gym and spa, and enhanced operational systems. How? Acquired by Switch Management Ltd after administration; includes event spaces and wellness facilities. Why? To enhance the guest experience and mark a new chapter in the hotel's history.

🌎 In 2023, Hyatt's Unbound Collection celebrates its 10th anniversary by adding four properties in the Americas: The Georgian in Santa Monica, Hotel 1000 in Seattle, Cayo Levantado Resort in the Dominican Republic, and The Clayfield in Ontario. Established in 2016, this collection features independent hotels known for unique hospitality. Hotel 1000 in Seattle offers 120 rooms with Puget Sound views, while The Georgian, a 1933 Santa Monica landmark, reopens with 84 rooms after a meticulous revival.

🏨 Who? Leonardo Hotels UK & Ireland. When? Reopening on 23rd April. Where? King Street, Manchester. What? Hotel Gotham rebrands as The Rex, a 60-room boutique hotel. How? Acquired in May 2024, supported by Fattal Partnership Fund. Highlights? The Rex features a refurbished restaurant, bar, and the seventh-floor Reserve members club with three rooftop terraces and event spaces in original vaults. General manager Jenny Oh emphasizes the hotel's blend of character and modern sophistication.

🏝️ Sonesta International Hotels Corporation opens Sonesta Resort Curacao, a 196-room property, near Jan Thiel Beach, Willemstad. This marks Sonesta's return to the Dutch Caribbean, having previously operated there in the 1990s and 2015-2016. The resort offers villas, apartments, and guest rooms, featuring an outdoor pool, dive center, and Italian restaurant. Guests can use Sonesta’s Travel Pass loyalty program. Sonesta aims to expand its presence in Latin America and the Caribbean.
