🏨 Blacksand and Marriott International have partnered to develop 10 hotels in Saudi Arabia over four years, offering more than 1,300 rooms. The collaboration spans across Marriott brands, including St. Regis, Moxy, and Residence Inn. Set to open by 2030, the hotels will create over 6,000 jobs, with 60% for Saudi nationals. The first hotel will debut in Riyadh, supporting Saudi Arabia's urban and tourism development plans.

🏨 Drury Hotels is constructing a new Drury Plaza Hotel in Daytona Beach, Florida, near the Daytona International Speedway. Opening in June 2027, it will feature 180 guest rooms and over 2,000 square feet of meeting space for up to 200 attendees. It's the fourth Drury hotel in Florida in 2026. Amenities include free breakfast, Wi-Fi, and an outdoor pool. The hotel will employ about 50 staff members. Reservation is open now.

🍴 Eight years after closing Restaurant André, chef André Chiang returns to Singapore in October 2023, opening "1887 by André" at the historical Raffles Singapore. This 42-seat restaurant, named after the hotel's founding year, features a menu inspired by historical dishes, including nearly 60 Victorian and Singaporean options. Located at 1 Beach Road, it blends colonial architecture with modern design by Bill Bensley. The kitchen is led by Ben Wang and Roy Kuo, previously at RAW in Taipei.

📰 EOS Hospitality has added The Press Hotel, Autograph Collection, in Portland, Maine, to its portfolio, expanding to over 60 properties nationwide. This marks EOS's 15th property in New England. Originally built in 1923, the hotel was home to the Portland Press Herald. Now, it honors its journalistic roots with vintage typewriters and newsroom-inspired designs. CEO Simon Mais emphasizes the importance of preserving the hotel's unique character while enhancing guest experiences.

🌊 Lodgco Hospitality will convert Ameniti Bay and Magnolia Pointe in Florida into Caretta Bay Sarasota and Coral Pointe Sarasota by July 1, 2026. The transformation aligns with the Ascend Collection by Choice Hotels. The names highlight the local marine environment, drawing on the loggerhead sea turtle (Caretta caretta) and regional coastal identity. General Manager Ashleigh Gonzalez will continue leading operations, aiming for enhanced visibility and guest satisfaction, supported by their partnership with Mote Marine.

🏨 On July 21, in Cincinnati, Ohio, Portman, with local and state partners, will break ground on the Cincinnati Downtown Marriott. The $540 million project, featuring 700 rooms and 60,000 sq. ft. of meeting space, is supported by $249 million public funds, including a $50 million state grant. Aimbridge Hospitality manages, with financing from Bank OZK and others. Public-private partnerships are key to this urban transformation aimed at boosting local economic growth.

🏨 Eagle Bar has completed its dual-terrace concept at The Chancery Rosewood in London, with the opening of a second space on the hotel’s seventh floor. The Mayfair site launched in September 2025. The venue now includes Upper East and Upper West terraces, with a 200+ person capacity. Upper West focuses on aperitifs and overlooks Hyde Park, while Upper East offers late-night music and views of Grosvenor Square. Upper West opens at 3 pm, Upper East at 5 pm.

🏨 Elysium Collection is debuting its hotel brand in Cornwall, UK, with the opening of Elysium St Mawes in autumn 2026. This 56-bedroom hotel is transforming the former Ship and Castle Hotel. Future sites in Surrey and the Lake District are planned for 2027, focusing on restored historic buildings. Architectural studio 3DReid leads the design, using British materials. Executive chef Stephane Delourme will manage food operations, and Templespa partners to provide wellbeing facilities.

🏨 In June, Blue Flag Capital and Collared Martin Hospitality launched Faraway Sag Harbor and Faraway Jackson Hole, expanding the brand beyond New England. Faraway Sag Harbor features 67 rooms, Zagara restaurant, a heated outdoor pool, and more, inspired by its maritime history. Faraway Jackson Hole replaces Snake River Lodge in Wyoming’s Teton Village, offering a mountain retreat. These openings extend Faraway Hotels to new iconic U.S. destinations with unique cultural identities.

🏨 In 1854, a historic post office was built in Vienna's Fleischmarkt district, serving for 150 years. London-based designer Stephanie Barba Mendoza transformed this 19th-century building into the Wilde aparthotel. Mendoza drew inspiration from Vienna's rich artistic past, incorporating elements of the Viennese Secession and Wiener Werkstätte movements. The design aims to blend the post office's historical significance with the city's vibrant coffeehouse culture, making shared spaces feel relevant and lively today.
