🏠 Minor Hotels will manage the 310-room Avani+ Hanoi, set to debut in 2028 within Hanoi's Hinode City development—marking their first hotel in Vietnam's capital. This expands their Vietnam presence, complementing four existing Anantara and Avani resorts and The Vietage train service. The deal aligns with Minor's asset-light growth strategy via management and franchising, while also aiming for expansion in New York and Miami.

🌿 Under Canvas Santa Fe opens April 2027, marking its first New Mexico site and the 18th overall. Located on 640 acres near Santa Fe, it offers 45 safari-style tents and cabins, operating April-October. Rates start at $279/night. The property includes saunas, a 1,885 sq ft event tent, and access to 44 miles of trails. It follows DarkSky lighting principles and features sustainable amenities. Full camp buyout accommodates 130 guests.

🏨 IHG Hotels & Resorts and Urban Property Group expand with Crowne Plaza Newcastle and Hotel Indigo Gosford, adding to Crowne Plaza Parramatta signed in 2025. The new hotels, part of mixed-use developments, signify growth in New South Wales. Crowne Plaza Newcastle, opening late 2029, features 171 rooms and 550 sqm event space. Hotel Indigo Gosford, opening mid-2030, offers 152 rooms. The partnership targets regional growth in hospitality.

🏨 Rosewood Hong Kong tops the World's 50 Best Hotels 2026 list, announced on September 15 in Paris, for the second year. Capella Bangkok ranks second, with Four Seasons Bangkok third. Atlantis The Royal, Dubai is fourth, and Passalacqua, Lake Como is fifth. Asia dominates with 18 hotels; Europe has 21. Rosewood São Paulo is the top in South America at sixth. The ranking, in its fourth year, is decided by an academy of over 800 experts across 13 regions.

📋 Hilton Boston Back Bay completed a multi-million-dollar renovation of its 401-room hotel in Boston, Massachusetts. Managed by Highgate, the hotel features reimagined venues and a fitness center with Peloton bikes and an outdoor wellness space. The hotel offers 13 updated meeting venues and will introduce a new 2,500-square-foot venue called The Commonwealth. Rooms include 66-inch TVs and modern bathrooms. Mohamed Hashesh, the general manager, highlighted the neighborhood's dynamic energy.

🏨 Frasers Hospitality will open its first Capri by Fraser hotel in the UK in Kensington, summer 2027. The 180-unit, 7,000 sqm property will transform seven Victorian buildings while preserving their historical features. Facilities include a guest social hub, 24-hour gym, art exhibition spaces, and meeting areas. The hotel will operate sustainably with air source heat pumps, reducing carbon emissions. This launch adds to existing locations in Berlin, Brisbane, Penang, and Singapore.

🏨 Inverlonan will open a nine-bedroom hotel and restaurant at Ballygowan Farm, four miles east of Oban, in November. The project retains stone buildings with eco-friendly techniques. The farmhouse has three rooms; the Byre has five. The "Wild Dining" restaurant offers an eight-course menu at 7 pm, using over 90% local produce. Chef Tim Kensett leads, with seafood and farm-sourced meats. Facilities include honesty bars, a sauna, and a wild swimming pool at Loch Nell beach.

📈 Accor plans to nearly double its Egyptian portfolio, currently 38 hotels with 12,900 rooms, by adding 20 projects with 6,700 rooms. A notable project is the ibis North Coast Sidi Kerir, set to open in late 2029. Accor lost management of two iconic hotels to Mandarin Oriental on May 1, 2026. Egypt aims for 30 million tourists by 2030, necessitating 200,000-250,000 new rooms. Accor's commitment covers about 10% of this need.

🏨 Leonardo Hotels Central Europe acquired four hotels, expanding their German presence. Two hotels are in Berlin's Alexanderplatz, adding 624 rooms, targeting business and leisure travelers. In North Rhine-Westphalia, the Leonardo Smart Düsseldorf offers 250 rooms, while the Leonardo Royal Dortmund, opposite the Trade Fair Centre, provides 166 rooms and suites.
