🏨 Hilton has opened Malaysia’s first Waldorf Astoria in Kuala Lumpur’s Golden Triangle, featuring 268 suites designed for extended stays and multigenerational travel. Dining concepts come from chefs Garima Arora and Jean-Georges Vongerichten. The hotel offers a 2,275-square-metre spa across two floors and 3,745 square metres of event space, including a 1,545-square-metre grand ballroom accommodating up to 2,500 reception guests. Deboss Collective’s interiors incorporate traditional Malay-inspired craftsmanship.

🏨 The Mindaro, a JdV by Hyatt hotel, has opened in Portland, Oregon, minutes from Portland International Airport. Its 90 guestrooms each measure nearly 500 square feet. Amenities include complimentary WiFi, a 24-hour fitness center, free 24-hour airport shuttle service, EV charging and dog-friendly stays. Part of The Mindaro Campus, the Pacific Northwest-inspired hotel connects guests with Hyatt House Portland Airport, two dining venues and The Mindaro Event Center.

🏨 Hyatt signed agreements with Saraca Hotels & Resorts for four hotels across India’s Uttar Pradesh and Uttarakhand. Unscripted by Hyatt will debut in India with Saraca Hotel Lucknow’s 41 rooms and Saraca Resort & Spa Corbett’s 44 rooms and suites across nine acres. Near Jim Corbett National Park, plans include a Destination by Hyatt resort with approximately 111 accommodations across 20 acres and a 70-room Hyatt Place. Opening dates were not announced.

🏨 A 140-bedroom hotel will be built within York’s historic city walls, with completion planned for spring 2028.

🌍 Barcelona-born photographer Nuria Val began travelling abroad for modelling at 17 and co-founded plant-based skincare brand Rowse with Gabriela Salord in 2018, inspired by Lanzarote, Iceland and Japan. She is preparing to open Vila Oliveta, a hotel and artists’ residence in southern Catalonia, with her husband and daughter Oli. Following a recent Norway trip, Peru is next. Nature guides her destinations; cameras are essential, and sleeper trains are her preferred transport.

🏨 IHG Hotels & Resorts and Asset World Corp will bring Ruby Hotels to Bangkok’s Sathorn CBD in 2027. The 184-room property marks Ruby’s first hotel in Thailand and Asia Pacific since joining IHG. Its design draws on 1920s Siam, blending music and local storytelling. The urban lifestyle brand offers flexible spaces and conversion-friendly designs. IHG currently has 42 open hotels in Thailand, with 41 more in development across 11 destinations and 11 brands.

🏨 IHCL and Adani Airport Holdings announced eight hotels with over 2,000 rooms across Mumbai, Ahmedabad, Lucknow and Guwahati. Adani will develop the properties; IHCL will operate three Taj, two Vivanta, one Gateway and two Ginger hotels, bringing its airport portfolio to 25 hotels. The partnership supports business, leisure and transit travel. Separately, Adani Airport City plans first-phase investment exceeding ₹20,000 crore to develop approximately 22 million square feet across six airport locations.
