Ledgestone Hospitality Announces Opening of First La Quinta Inn & Suites in Phoenix Area

🏨 Phoenix, Arizona—On November 13th, Ledgestone Hospitality opened the La Quinta Inn & Suites by Wyndham Phoenix West/Glendale/Tolleson, a new 95-room hotel. Owned by Build AZ, led by Dr. Tushar Gohel and Shital Patel, the hotel held a ribbon-cutting with the West Valley Chamber of Commerce. Highlights include free WiFi, complimentary breakfast, and a fitness center. Alise Hannebaum is COO of Build AZ, with Steve Clinkenbeard attending to support the La Quinta Del Sol prototype launch.

Accor extends the Orient Express legacy to large-format yachting

🛳 Orient Express and Chantiers de l’Atlantique have started constructing the Orient Express Olympian, a sailing yacht. This marks the second yacht in their development program. This step enhances Accor's goal to expand Orient Express into a multi-asset ultra-luxury brand, reaching beyond traditional hospitality to include maritime and experiential travel.

Accor extends the Orient Express legacy to large-format yachting

🚢 Construction of the Orient Express Olympian began with steel cutting on January 30, 2025. The 220-meter yacht will see its keel laid in November 2025, launch in April 2026, and delivery by April 2027. Its sister ship, Orient Express Corinthian, begins sea trials in December 2025. The project is part of Accor's expansion, as the Orient Express brand also introduces luxury hotels in Rome by 2025 and Venice by April 2026.

L Architects uses double-bullnose bricks to create flat that “plants would enjoy”

🌳 In Singapore's Hougang, L Architects revamped a 98-square-metre flat for plant-loving clients. 🏡 Utilizing 571 rare double-bullnose bricks, they transformed the space, removing two walls to create an open-plan area. 💡 Glass doorways and louvered windows enhance light and ventilation. 🌱 Focusing on plant placement, they designed a multifunctional area with a brick island and bench. The project, shortlisted for the 2025 Dezeen Awards, merges nature with design in a residential interior. 🌿

Marriott marks a new milestone as the Saudi market accelerates

🏨 Marriott International reached 100 operational and pipeline properties in Saudi Arabia, signing a 1,100-room Courtyard by Marriott in Makkah with SEDCO Capital, set to open in 2030. The hotel will cover 4,500 sqm, part of the Masar development, and aligns with Saudi Vision 2030. Marriott operates 44 properties with over 11,000 rooms in Saudi Arabia, bolstered by religious tourism. Masar aims to host 30 million pilgrims annually, enhancing urban infrastructure.

Iconic Sheffield Hotel Rebrands Following 18-Month Transformation

🏨 Northland Properties rebranded and renovated the Sandman Signature Sheffield Quays Hotel, previously Best Western Plus, after 18 months of work. Acquired in June 2022 with renovations starting November 2023, it's set for completion by Summer 2026. The hotel now boasts 128 renovated rooms, a new 5,000 sq ft bar and restaurant, and rebranded leisure facilities. By 2026, 32 more rooms will be added. Tavern on The Quays opened September 22, 2025, seating 90 with a 200-capacity ballroom planned.

Sofitel New York unveils Art Deco renovations

🏨 Sofitel New York's transformation is complete, revamping public spaces, 346 guest rooms, 52 suites, a penthouse, and introducing Social 45, a new bar and bistro. The redesign blends New York and Paris Art Deco elements. Sofitel's CEO, Maud Bailly, highlights that nearly 30% of Sofitel hotels are being revitalized globally. Enhanced amenities include Balmain and Diptyque bathroom products. Meeting facilities now feature advanced AV technology and French-inspired design. The Penthouse offers a dining salon for eight.

Azul Hospitality Group Announces Debut of EMRE at The Ava Hotel, Curio Collection by Hilton

🏨 In August 2025, Azul Hospitality Group celebrated the opening of The Ava Hotel, Curio Collection by Hilton, in Paso Robles, California. This 151-room hotel now features EMRE, its signature restaurant led by chef Julien Asseo. Located downtown, it's a joint venture with Paso Robles Hotel Partners and Peachtree Group. The hotel includes 6,500 sq. ft. of event space and three dining venues: EMRE, Pine Street Bistro, and Esperanza on The Rooftop.
