Olivia Immesi to step down as chief executive of Native Places

📁 Olivia Immesi will leave Native Places after 5 years as CEO. She led the company’s expansion into a major UK aparthotel brand and oversaw its acquisition by Numa, resulting in the Native by Numa brand. Before 2021, she held senior roles in London's hospitality sector, including at The Curtain Hotel and Ace Hotel. Her career also includes 6 years at The Hoxton and a business development role at Malmaison. Her next role is unconfirmed.

Hand Picked Hotels bolsters senior leadership in Channel Islands

🏨 Will Jackson is appointed general manager of l’Horizon Hotel and Spa in Jersey, while José Simoes becomes the hotel manager at Braye Beach Hotel in Alderney. Bringing 25 years of experience, Matheson previously held leadership roles with Magna Hospitality, Hyatt, Pyramid Hotel Group, and Four Seasons. The hotel, opened in 2018, is conveniently located near major Boston attractions. Owned by Fontainebleau Development and Related Beal, the Courtyard is positioned for both business and leisure travelers.

Julie Desvaux is the new global marketing director for Nikki Beach Hospitality Group. Colm O'Brien was appointed managing director of Kimpton Miralina Resort & Villas Paradise Valley. Euan Taylor leads The Observatory Sun Valley, opening in June 2026. Lyle Worthington is the 2026 EU Operations Advisor for HFTP. Numerous other appointments were made across the hospitality industry.

📍 Hilton appointed Dan Briks as general manager of the 478-room Hilton New York Times Square. Briks has over 20 years of leadership experience in NYC hotels, previously serving at Martinique New York on Broadway since 2021. He led major renovations and opened new outlets there. His career started at Waldorf Astoria New York. Briks is also on the Board of Directors of the Hotel Association of NYC and the General Manager Committee for AHLA.
