🍴 Designed by Astet Studio in Shoreditch, London, Mitsu Japanese restaurant opened recently. The space evokes Tokyo izakayas through contemporary shoji screens, traditional Japanese decor, and an eight-meter-long hand-painted Noren fabric. Guests enter via a Tsuboniwa-inspired garden. The design features adaptive lighting and a red color theme, reminiscent of Tokyo's night streets. The dining experience is enhanced by an open Robata kitchen and Japanese collectables, creating a vibrant, immersive environment.

🔍 In Manhattan's Lower East Side, US firm Charlap Hyman & Herrero designed a perfume store for Nonfiction, incorporating glossy red tiles and Queen Anne-style furniture. The store features lime-washed walls, minimalist metal shelving, and an oxblood-tiled floor. A mahogany table by Doug McCollough and a circa 1770 Queen Anne candle stand showcase fragrances. Geometric forms include a triangular entrance volume and a mirrored column emitting amber light, creating a bold retail environment.
