🏨 Ian Schrager will open the second PUBLIC hotel in spring 2026 on Sunset Strip, West Hollywood, Los Angeles. The hotel will feature 137 rooms in the former Standard hotel, designed by British architect John Pawson. Amenities include three dining venues, a pool, and a rooftop terrace with 360-degree views of Los Angeles. The first PUBLIC hotel opened in 2017 in the Lower East Side of New York City.

🏗️ Tech-powered hospitality operator Bob W has signed a long-term lease for a 150-key property in central Prague, marking its first venture in the Czech Republic. This site, designed with Bob W’s signature sustainable operations and digital guest experience, will include studio and one-bedroom units. CEO Niko Karstikko emphasizes Prague's blend of leisure and corporate demand as ideal for Bob W's hybrid model. The company is expanding in Central and Eastern Europe, targeting more opportunities in the region.

🏨 Choice Hotels International will open 50 new Quality Suites hotels, doubling its French portfolio to 107 properties. This expansion, part of a 20-year agreement signed in April 2024 with Zenitude Groupe, adds over 4,800 rooms in France, focusing 22% of new sites in major cities. The deal continues to strengthen Choice Hotels' presence in the EMEA region, offering flexible accommodation and senior living options. All properties will join the Choice Privileges loyalty programme.

🍳 Marcliffe Hotel in Aberdeen is set to open Skylark, a new brasserie, at the end of this month. The venue will feature vibrant, contemporary design with a focus on local ingredients. Skylark aims to reflect its namesake bird's joyful song and skyward flight. The brasserie will enhance diners' experiences with bold interiors. This development follows Marcliffe's recognition as an AA five-star hotel for its outstanding service and hospitality, as highlighted by chairman Sir Jim Milne CBE.

🏨 Lamington Group secured a £41.75m loan from Coutts Commercial for a net zero hometel in York, their first in Northern England. The 116-room Room2 York, opening spring 2027, will feature reclaimed materials, solar panels, and CO₂-controlled ventilation. Lamington aims for 5,000 UK rooms by 2030, focusing on sustainable design. As a B Corporation, it plans further Room2 sites in Cambridge, Edinburgh, Manchester, and Shepherd's Bush.

🏨 Hotel Maison Maastricht Centrum, a 58-room property featuring a bar, patisserie, and fitness center, has opened in The Netherlands in a former hotel school. It joins Accor's Handwritten Collection as the fourth hotel in the Benelux region, alongside Maek Hotel Antwerp Central, Hotel Ter Zand, and Le Marin Rotterdam City. As of 2025, the collection includes over 30 hotels, with an additional 35 in development, expanding in Hungary, Romania, Greece, France, Belgium, and The Netherlands.

🎲 In August, Recreation at Moxy NYC Downtown, located in Manhattan's Financial District, unveiled a redesigned space. Originally crafted by Stonehill Taylor, the refresh incorporates American walnut finishes and mid-century design elements. Led by Heather Maloney of Definition Design BK, the redesign emphasizes historical authenticity with custom furnishings by Workshop Hospitality. Recreation now offers updated menus featuring mini martini pairings and boxed sushi, enhancing the vintage sports club atmosphere.

🏨 Ennismore will open The Hoxton in Madrid's historic Plaza de Santa Ana by 2026. This 192-room hotel will be their second in Spain after Barcelona's 2022 launch. Architect Jesús Carrasco-Muñoz y Encina designed the modernist building, with refurbishment by Petra AM and Urban Input Group. Features include a coffee bar, lounge, trattoria, rooftop bar, and event space. Part of Ennismore's expansion, upcoming locations include Oslo, Kraków, and Hamburg, plus Melbourne and Nashville.

🏨 Choice Hotels EMEA is expanding by adding 50 Quality Suites hotels in 41 new French destinations, totaling over 4,800 rooms. This expansion increases their French portfolio to 107 hotels from 57. The initiative follows a 20-year strategic agreement with Zenitude Groupe signed in April 2024. The collaboration introduces co-branded concepts and emphasizes long-stay comfort. The strategic locations focus on transport hubs and business centers, catering to diverse travelers and embracing new hospitality trends for sustainable growth.

🏠 Maslow’s will open its third members’ house in early 2026, spanning two floors in The Kensington Building, London. The location includes coworking spaces, private offices, a café, gym, wellness studio, and meeting rooms. The Kensington Building boasts a BREEAM Excellent rating and runs on 100% renewable electricity, with WELL certification in pursuit. Maslow’s Kensington will join sister locations at 1 Warwick, Soho, and Mortimer House, Fitzrovia.
