Houston’s Michelin-starred Musaafer is now open in New York

🍴 Musaafer opened in New York City's Tribeca on August 25. Founded by Mithu and Shammi Malik, the 10,000 sq ft Michelin-starred restaurant features a dining room, a subterranean bar, and a “chef’s studio.” The Houston original offers dishes like butter chicken two ways and exclusive items like nihari birria tacos. Chef Mayank Istwal curated the menu. The space, designed by Chromed Studio, showcases vintage Indian architecture. Musaafer plans future expansions and new concepts.

Faena New York opens in Manhattan

📍 Faena New York opened in Manhattan, 2025, at 500 West 18th Street, marking 10 years after its Miami Beach launch and 20 years post-Buenos Aires debut. The hotel offers 120 guest rooms and a two-storey private residence. Dining, social areas, and the Tierra Santa Healing House wellness area are featured. The Plaza will house Faena Art and Faena Theatre, opening in spring 2026. Chef Francis Mallmann leads La Boca restaurant; interior design by Peter Mikic.

Rougarou is a new restaurant from Denver’s award-winning Yacht Club team

🏠 Yacht Club founders Mary Allison Wright and McLain Hedges opened Rougarou on August 21 in Denver’s Five Points neighborhood. The restaurant seats 68 inside and 75 in its backyard, which hosts live music. Rougarou features Southern-inspired dishes and a cocktail program with drinks like the Hurricane and Muffuletta Martini. Executive chef John David Wright leads the kitchen. The space also includes Over Pour, a retail shop offering grab-and-go items and novelties.

Sir Hotels opens in Devonshire Square, London

The Hoxton, Dublin set to open this November

🏨 November 2025, Dublin's Creative Quarter will welcome The Hoxton, Ireland's debut location, situated in the historic Central Hotel on Exchequer Street. Ennismore’s AIME Studios restored the Victorian structure. The hotel offers 129 rooms and four F&B venues, including a lobby bar and Cantina Valentina. It introduces Groundworks, a basement nightlife venue. This follows The Hoxton's 2024 launches in Florence and Edinburgh.
