The current owner, an experienced retiree, secured planning permission to convert it into a boutique hotel. Initial construction has started, marking the first new hotel project on Lake Windermere in the 21st century. Located in the Lake District National Park, this project is anticipated to attract significant interest due to high tourism demand.
