Fairmont opens Golden Prague in Old Town
🏦 Fairmont Hotels & Resorts opens Fairmont Golden Prague in Czech Republic's Old Town near Pařížská Boulevard. Architect Karel Filsak designed the original 1970s brutalist building. Renovation preserved ash wood posts, glass chandeliers, gilded lighting, and Czech design elements. The hotel offers 320 rooms, suites, serviced residences, and a 15,000-square-foot wellness area with a unique L-shaped pool. It features six dining venues, including Zlata Praha rooftop restaurant and Golden Eye with modern Asian cuisine. An art collection with restored Czech works decorates the hotel. There's a Fairmont Gold section with private check-in, a 6,500-square-foot ballroom, and rooftop boardrooms. CEO Omer Acar highlights the expansion in Europe, with notable properties like Le Montreux Palace, The Savoy, and La Hacienda Costa Del Sol.
