🏨 Ascend Collection, part of Choice Hotels, reached its 500th property milestone with openings in Downtown Hollywood, Florida, and Seneca Falls, New York. The Harrison Hotel offers 95 rooms and amenities, while The Gould Hotel has 48 rooms in a historic setting. As of March 2, 2026, the brand has a 70-property pipeline, expanding in Europe, Canada, Africa, and Latin America. A partnership with SSAW Hotels in China will add 9,500 rooms.

🏨 Central Beach Leisure, led by John and Elishar Westhead, revamped Blackpool's Royal Carlton Hotel into a luxury boutique hotel with a £3.5m investment. Acquired in March 2025, the hotel opens on 11 April, featuring 38 refurbished rooms and the new restaurant XI. The company has invested over £15m in the region, with 35 suites available and 45 more launching in May. Properties include Park Road Suites and Pleasure Beach Apartments.

🏨 Point A Hotels is set to open a 206-room hotel at St Andrew Square, Edinburgh, in summer 2026. The hotel, designed by Leisure Concepts and Maith Design, includes 148 double rooms and 58 twin rooms. It features historical elements like a restored helix staircase and will use air source heat pumps for sustainability. This development marks Point A's second Edinburgh location, adding to its presence in the UK’s dynamic hotel market since 2019.

🏨 Accor plans to transform the Sofitel Rio de Janeiro Ipanema with 172 redesigned rooms by 2026. Hilton aims to double its Brazilian portfolio, currently around 30 hotels, by 2030. Accor has over 330 hotels in Brazil, its largest market in the Americas. Hilton's growth will involve 10 brands operating in Brazil. Both expansions highlight Brazil's strategic importance for global hotel operators.

🏨 In 2029, Dalata will open a new four-star Maldron hotel on Hammersmith Road, Kensington, marking its seventh property in London with over 1,400 rooms. This £1.3bn project near Olympia London involves converting an office into 370 guestrooms, a restaurant, and more. Designed as an all-electric building with BREEAM “Excellent” certification, it aligns with UK's energy policies. Dalata recently approved a €1.4 billion takeover by Pandox AB and Eiendomsspar AS.

🏢 Ronan Group and Staycity Group are partnering to develop a 288-room aparthotel at Waterfront South Central in Dublin's North Docklands under Staycity's Wilde brand. The eight-storey property will be part of a 4.6-acre mixed-use scheme. A planning application will be submitted soon, with a decision expected by Q2 2026. Staycity operates 6,500 apartments in 20 cities. The project supports business and leisure demand and is adjacent to Citi's development.

Located near Crystal City Metro, one mile from Ronald Reagan Washington National Airport, offers 223 redesigned guestrooms and suites. Upgraded lobby, new restaurant, and enhanced meeting spaces. Features high-speed internet and HDTVs. General Manager Vikas Lalwani highlights Potomac River-inspired design. A new coffee bar, serving Commonwealth Joe, enriches guest experience. 📍 In 2022, Minor International fully acquired The Wolseley Hospitality Group, originally part of Corbin & King since 2017. The Wolseley Hotel New York, located at 130 West 44th Street, will be the brand's first hotel, featuring a brasserie and speakeasy bar. Set in a 1905 McKim, Mead & White-designed landmark, it mirrors the Barrière group's strategy. Future expansions are planned globally, emphasizing culinary excellence and elegant design.
