🏨 City Express by Marriott opened its first Canadian hotel, City Express by Marriott Port Hope, in Ontario along Highway 401. This 91-room hotel connects travelers to major destinations like Toronto and Ottawa. It offers refreshed accommodations, complimentary breakfast, high-speed WiFi, and 24/7 amenities. Port Hope is recognized for its historic architecture and proximity to Cobourg Beach. Paul Cahill, Marriott's COO for Canada, highlights this expansion as a step to enhance Marriott's hospitality with comfort and convenience.

🏨 BWH Hotels GB signed three new hotels in Lyndhurst, London, and Newark, adding 100 rooms, raising their yearly addition to 291 rooms. The hotels are Forest Lodge (36 rooms), Best Western Chiswick Rooms (33 rooms, with a recent £500k refurbishment), and Sure Hotel Newark (30 rooms). The total portfolio now exceeds 230 properties. The Royal Maritime Hotel, another recent addition, earned nearly £50k in its first month.

🏨 La Vie Hotels & Resorts will manage the upcoming Westin Gold Coast Hotel, slated to open in late 2029. Located in a new mixed-use development, the hotel will feature 138 rooms across levels 6 to 25. It offers 115 premium rooms, 23 suites, a signature restaurant, and wellness amenities. This project aligns with Marriott International's strategic expansion on the Gold Coast, aiming to enhance well-being and hospitality experiences in Australia.

🏖 Radisson Hotel Group opened a 300-room resort on Phuket's northwest coast, Thailand, to expand its presence. Located between Layan Beach and Sirinat National Park, it's a 30-minute drive from Phuket International Airport and 15 minutes from Laguna Phuket. The resort offers standard guestrooms, family suites, two-bedroom suites, three dining venues, a spa, fitness center, and three pools. It features a 324-square-metre ballroom and four meeting rooms for corporate events. Nearby attractions include Old Phuket Town and Wat Phra Thong temple.

🏨 Caliber broke ground on a Hyatt Studios extended-stay hotel in Steamboat Springs, Colorado. This four-story, 57,971-square-foot property will feature 114 rooms and is slated to open in the latter half of 2027. This hotel is the first of three projects, with others in Scottsdale, Arizona, and Georgetown, Texas. It will include amenities like kitchens, ski storage, and EV charging. The project aims to meet demand in high-tourism markets.

🏨 Dovetail + Co partners with Charlestowne Hotels to enhance Collective Retreats Governors Island, an outdoor luxury retreat in NYC. The retreat, eight minutes by ferry from Lower Manhattan, spans six acres and offers 29 upscale accommodations, including safari-style tents and cabins. It hosts events for up to 250 guests across six venues. Charlestowne will manage commercial strategy, marketing, and sales to boost direct bookings and expand market presence in luxury travel and corporate retreats.

🏨 Irish hotel group The Address Collective will open its second Glasgow property, Address Wren, on July 17, 2026, above Glasgow Central Station. This 30-bedroom penthouse hotel is located at 87 Union Street, marking their seventh property. Custom-designed furniture and intimate design elements inspired by the wren bird define the interiors. Cathal McGettigan highlights the unique transformation of the penthouse floor into a boutique hotel, strengthening their presence in Glasgow since 2023.

🏨 Meininger Hotels enters Scotland with a new site in Edinburgh, opening on 5 August. Located in the West End, it features 157 rooms and 549 beds. The development involved converting Osborne House, a 1970s office building. Managed by Ogilvie Construction and owned by S Harrison, it becomes Meininger's 38th European hotel. The Edinburgh site employs around 20 staff and is part of a broader expansion that includes recent openings in Barcelona, Madrid, Porto, and Tel Aviv.

🏨 IHG Hotels & Resorts plans to introduce the Regent brand to Chengdu in partnership with Newhope Real Estate, with the hotel set to open in Q3 2029. Located in a 233-meter tower in Jinjiang District, Regent Chengdu will feature 180 rooms. Founded in 1970, Regent is part of IHG's luxury portfolio, acquired in 2018, with 11 hotels worldwide. The brand has six locations in Greater China and plans for 12 more, totaling 2,210 rooms.

🏨 The Warbler is set to open this fall at St. Charles Avenue and St. Andrew Street in New Orleans. This 58-room boutique hotel spans 42,000 square feet and revitalizes the former Trolley Stop Café site, closed in 2021. Developed by Verdad Real Estate, it's the firm's first hospitality project, featuring designs by EskewDumezRipple and Jamie Bush & Co. The hotel includes Mildred’s martini bar, a poolside lounge, and a food program with CureCo.
