🏨 Chelan Goonetilleke has been appointed as the new general manager of Four Seasons Hotel Toronto. Formerly the general manager at Four Seasons Resort and Residences Whistler, Goonetilleke began at Four Seasons in 2007. His experience includes roles in Mauritius, Seychelles, and Dubai. Antoine Chahwan, the president of hotel operations for the Americas, praised Goonetilleke's strategic vision and commitment to service excellence as assets for the Toronto flagship property.

🏨 On January 1, Castlebridge Hospitality took over management of Courtyard by Marriott Keele, located at Keele University campus in Newcastle under Lyme, Staffordshire. The hotel, built in 2020 and opened in February 2021, features 150 bedrooms, two meeting rooms for up to 20 people, a fitness center, Scholars Bar and Restaurant, and a Starbucks. This marks Castlebridge's first Marriott-branded and third-party management contract, signaling significant growth for the company.

📁 Olivia Immesi will leave Native Places after 5 years as CEO. She led the company’s expansion into a major UK aparthotel brand and oversaw its acquisition by Numa, resulting in the Native by Numa brand. Before 2021, she held senior roles in London's hospitality sector, including at The Curtain Hotel and Ace Hotel. Her career also includes 6 years at The Hoxton and a business development role at Malmaison. Her next role is unconfirmed.

🏨 Will Jackson is appointed general manager of l’Horizon Hotel and Spa in Jersey, while José Simoes becomes the hotel manager at Braye Beach Hotel in Alderney. Jaime Short joins as director of sales for the Channel Islands at Hand Picked Hotels. These appointments support a growth strategy across Jersey, Alderney, and Guernsey. The l’Horizon Hotel recently received Green Tourism accreditation and an AA-rosette award. Julia Hands emphasizes their commitment to investing in the Channel Islands.
