  • Isaac French
  • 19 August 2025
🏠 Benny acquired an old house in Mexico for $1,000, initially intended for demolition due to commercial farming plans. The purchase was delayed when a bulldozer broke down. After the original owner's second thoughts, Benny paid an additional $1,000 and signed a final contract. The house was moved several miles to Benny's garden during a family missions trip. This historical acquisition cost less than a junky used car yet holds significant future value.

🗺️ Protests in Venice and Barcelona highlight overtourism issues: crowds, high prices, and short-term rentals displacing locals. While mass tourism has consequences, affordable travel was once a privilege, now more accessible. Critics urge for fewer tourists and higher prices, risking exclusivity rather than sustainability. Issues like unequal profit distribution and insufficient local ownership are systemic, not tourist-driven. Solutions should focus on stronger policies and regulation of big businesses rather than restricting individual behavior.
