5-star Tuscan retreat adopts advanced revenue management system to drive profitability, enhance operational efficiency, and future-proof its luxury positioning

TUSCANY, ITALY – September 10, 2025 – IDeaS, a SAS company and the world’s leading provider of hospitality revenue management software and services, today announced it has been selected by The Sense Experience Resort. The five-star luxury property with a distinctive concept rooted in sensory design, curated local experiences and a deep connection to nature located directly on the beach in Follonica, in the heart of the  Maremma Tuscany, facing Elba Island. The Sense has chosen IDeaS G3 Revenue Management System (RMS) to power its next phase of growth.

The resort implemented IDeaS G3 RMS to improve forecast accuracy, facilitate key controls such as minimum-stay restrictions, and drive RevPAR growth. Designed to meet the unique needs of resort operations, the AI-powered G3 RMS helps manage complex inventory mixes, optimize length-of-stay strategies, and dynamically respond to seasonal demand shifts. These capabilities support The Sense’s repositioning in the upper-luxury segment and its goal to accelerate digital transformation.

Previously challenged by a fragmented landscape of data, systems and processes, The Sense required a centralized system that could provide precise forecasting, deliver intelligent automation and drive long-term profitability. IDeaS G3 RMS was selected for its ability to meet these demands and act as a strategic enabler of the resort’s commercial growth.

Francesco Ficcanterri, General Manager of The Sense Experience Resort and Group Revenue Manager, said: “Implementing IDeaS G3 RMS has been a turning point for us. The system helped us bring clarity and control to our revenue strategy, replacing guesswork with intelligent automation and predictive insights. We’ve seen measurable improvements in forecast accuracy, distribution efficiency, and overall profitability, particularly during high-demand periods. It’s also freed our team from manual processes, allowing us to focus on strategic planning and collaboration across departments. IDeaS hasn’t just optimized our pricing, it’s elevated how we think and operate as a business.”

Beyond revenue gains, the solution has catalyzed a shift in how the resort approaches its wider tech stack.

Aizhana Zhantuarov, Director of Sales and Marketing added: “Adopting IDeaS has encouraged us to evaluate how all our platforms work together. It’s prompted improvements in how we align marketing with demand, and how we plan guest experiences based on real-time data, not assumptions.”

This change in approach is helping The Sense become more agile and opportunity-focused. By uniting commercial and guest experience strategies underpinned by live market intelligence, the resort can anticipate demand shifts, respond faster to changing conditions, and strengthen its position in the competitive luxury hospitality space.

Michael McCartan, Area Vice President, EMEA at IDeaS, said: “The Sense Experience Resort exemplifies the next generation of luxury hospitality: intentional, personalized, and forward-thinking. With a proven track record supporting luxury resorts across Europe and beyond, IDeaS empowers operators with the tools and insights needed to capitalize on market opportunities and drive strategic growth. We are proud to support The Sense’s evolution with a system that brings clarity to complexity and enables data-led, guest-focused growth. This partnership reflects what’s possible when strategic vision meets intelligent automation.”
