🏨 Lauren Krostue, vice president of IHG Hotels & Resorts, discussed Ruby, a brand founded in Germany in 2013, at The Lodging Conference 2025. Ruby features 16 open hotels with 2,673 rooms and 19 in the pipeline with 3,984 rooms worldwide. Targeting individualists aged 25-60, Ruby emphasizes unique, urban micro accommodations with rooms from 150-225 square feet. IHG aims to open 120 hotels globally over the next decade and 250 in 20 years, focusing on U.S. and European expansion.

📈 IHG Hotels & Resorts' Q3 2025 update: Global RevPAR rose 1.4% YTD; Americas up 0.8%, EMEAA up 3.8%, Greater China down 2.6%. Room revenue grew 4% in business but declined 2% in leisure and 4% in groups. Q3 saw occupancy rise by 0.4 points. Opened 14,500 rooms, an increase of 17% YOY, and signed 22,600 rooms, up 18% YOY. $700 million of a $900 million share buyback completed, reducing share count by 3.9%. A new premium brand is launching soon.

📈 IHG Group reported a 0.1% rise in RevPAR for Q3 ending September 30, 2025. Global RevPAR increased by 1.4% year-to-date. Regional RevPAR grew 0.8% in the Americas, 3.8% in EMEAA, but fell 2.6% in Greater China. Global rooms revenue rose 4%, despite a 2% dip in leisure and 4% in group bookings. IHG opened 99 hotels (14,500 rooms) and signed 170 hotels (22,600 rooms) this quarter. The company has completed $700m of its $900m share buyback program.

🏨 MGallery L’Isle de Leos Hotel & Spa, nestled in L’Isle-sur-la-Sorgue, France, offers 49 rooms and 11 suites. Designed by Jean-Philippe Nuel, the hotel combines art and luxury. Highlights include Chef Yon Masurel's La Roue restaurant and the L’Olivier de Leos Spa. The hotel features meeting spaces for up to 60 guests, promoting creativity. Room rates start at €350, suites at €650. Guests can enjoy seasonal activities like grape harvests and truffle hunts.

🏖 Daish’s Holidays reports a 12% increase in bookings for winter and festive breaks. In November and December, Turkey and Tinsel, Christmas, and Twixmas packages set records, with all hotels fully booked for five- and six-day Christmas breaks. The Barrowfield Hotel in Newquay reopens after three years to meet demand. The Abbey Lawn Hotel in Torquay sees a 33% booking rise; Esplanade Hotel in Scarborough, 17%; Russell Hotel in Weymouth, 15%.

🏨 Cambria Hotel Portland – Pearl District opened in Portland, Oregon, marking the city's only new hotel opening this year. Located directly on the Park Blocks, the 178-room hotel offers amenities like spa-inspired bathrooms, a fitness studio, and 1,350 sq. ft. of meeting space. It is near key attractions such as the Saturday Market and Oregon Convention Center. The on-site restaurant, Recess, led by Chef Michael Iles, features Pacific Northwest-inspired dishes with local ingredients.

🍴 October 14, 2023, New York: Avra Group opened its largest 20,000 sq. ft. restaurant at Moynihan Train Hall, seating 400, including four private rooms. The Dallas location, launched on September 19, covers 14,000 sq. ft. and accommodates 350. Both designed by Rockwell Group. Avra emphasizes Mediterranean ingredients, featuring seafood from Southern Europe, US-sourced lamb and beef, and Greek olive oil. The menu includes seafood displays, steaks, and traditional Greek dishes, paired with global wines.

🌵 Waldorf Astoria New York, October 2025, unveils the world’s largest Guerlain Wellness Spa on its fifth floor. Featuring 16 treatment rooms, advanced technology like the Guerlain LongeviSkin device, and exclusive treatments, it focuses on nutrition, movement, sleep, and mindfulness. Residents access a separate wellness area on the 25th floor. Two new Guerlain boutiques will open later this year. Managed by Trilogy Spa Holdings, the spa integrates wellness with luxury, offering personalized care and unique experiences.
