NYC, Phoenix projected to open the most hotel rooms in 2026

🏨 New York City and Phoenix will see the most new hotel room openings in 2026, with 4,852 and 3,650 rooms respectively, according to CoStar. Dallas, Orlando, and Miami follow. The U.S. will open 891 hotels with 99,011 rooms in 2026, rising to 1,688 hotels with 191,926 rooms by 2027. CoStar's data indicates growth potential, as current room supply and demand are still below 2019 levels, despite leading occupancy rates.

Marcus Hotels & Resorts Announces Opening of The Marc Hotel

CoStar: NYC Among Cities Projected to Open the Most Hotel Rooms in 2026
