Must-follow revenue management metrics in hospitality

  • Anuska Linc1
  • 4 November 2025
💰 Revenue management uses data to optimize total revenue by predicting demand and adjusting prices, crucial for hotels with high fixed costs. Key metrics include RevPAR, ADR, Occupancy Rate, and GOPPAR. The Social Hub utilizes 350 co-working spaces, and The Julius generated €107,000 from 29 parking spaces in 2023. Successful revenue management involves demand forecasting, dynamic pricing, and inventory control. Revenue managers should leverage technology, monitor market trends, and train teams for effective strategy implementation.

  • Mia Belle Frothingham
  • 28 October 2025
💸 Hotels are encouraged to shift from traditional RevPAR metrics to a Commercial Revenue Management (CRM) approach for sustainability. This strategy focuses on profit-driven metrics like NRevPAR and GOPPAR, optimizing pricing, inventory, and marketing across revenue streams. CRM breaks down departmental silos, ensuring unified goals. Partnering with RevOptimum can boost profitability, forecasting accuracy, and market share through tailored strategies that prioritize net profitability. Transitioning to CRM is essential for hotel growth and efficiency.
