U.S. Hotel Construction Pipeline Reaches 6,020 Projects, 705,825 Rooms in Q1 2026, Reports Lodging Econometrics

🏨 Q1 2026, USA: According to Lodging Econometrics, the U.S. hotel construction pipeline included 6,020 projects and 705,825 rooms. Currently under construction are 1,071 projects with 132,016 rooms. Luxury segment projects rose 16% to 102 projects (25,527 rooms). Q1 saw 140 projects (15,546 rooms) start and 126 hotels (14,614 rooms) open. By 2026's end, 682 hotels with 77,323 rooms are projected, up 1.4% in supply, with 750 hotels (81,199 rooms) expected in 2027.

Accor Reports Q1 2026 Revenue Increase of 2.3% to €1.313 Billion Despite Middle East Conflict Impact

📈 Accor reported first-quarter 2026 revenue of €1,313 million, a 2.3% rise from 2025. Management & Franchise revenue increased by 8.3% to €332 million. RevPAR grew by 5.1%. The group opened 48 hotels with over 6,700 rooms, achieving a net unit growth of 3.8%. The Middle East conflict, starting February 28, impacted UAE results, yet Europe and Southeast Asia saw increased demand. Accor's Luxury & Lifestyle division recorded a 6.0% increase in RevPAR.
